The Powder River Music Review concert series is weekly outdoor concert series in Baker City’s Geiser Pollman Park on the banks of the Powder River featuring local and regional musicians on Sunday afternoons from mid June through August.  The concert series is free to the public however donations are accepted and funds raised during the concerts will be used to construct a new Baker City Bandstand in the park

Annual Baker City car show featuring, hot rods, classic cars and other vintage automobiles from Oregon, Idaho, Washington and throughout the Northwest. The show is held at the Geiser Pollman Park from 8 AM until 4 PM on Saturday. Followed by a the Durkee Steak Feed  and car display at Quail Ridge Golf Course on Saturday evening.  Events throughout the day include the show N Shine, Valve Cover Races, and live music and conclude with an fun filled evening cruising historic Baker City’s Main Street.

Explore the history of the Oregon Trail in Baker City at the National Historic Oregon Trail Interpretive Center.  This two day celebration features an outdoor wagon encampment on flagstaff Hill outside of the Interpretive Center overlooking the Elkhorn Mountains and the ruts of the Oregon Trail running through the Baker Valley below.  Living history performers including trappers, wagon masters, and emigrant families demonstrate what life was like along the Oregon Trail.  The weekend’s festivities include  lectures, Dutch oven cooking demonstrations, and  interactive exhibits for history buffs of all ages both inside the center and outside in the wagon encampment.

This celebration of bovine art is a one of a kind art auction. Local artists spend the weeks prior to the event licking their artistic masterpieces into shape before they’re put on display for the for auction. Funds raised from the evenings art auction are donated to the Parkinson’s Center of Oregon at the Oregon Health Science University.

The auction takes place at the the Baker County Fairgrounds in historic Baker City. Social hour begins at 6 p.m. and auction starts at 7 p.m.
