They say that the higher the thread count the nicer the sheet, I get it. I have actually taken that advice and registered for those kinds of sheets for my wedding- splurge a bit right? All I can say is I have never slept in a bed with sheets even near the caliber as the bed made at the Winchester Inn in Ashland. Any sheet I have ever interacted with withered in comparison to those, ohhh those, sheets.

Those sheets changed my life- at least for the night. My only regret was that I didn’t get into bed earlier because those first few minutes of sensation was, perfection.

That idea of moments of perfection were something we knew were going to appear all week while cycling through Southern Oregon. When you are on holiday you have time to realize and savior those sweet moments.

Klaas, my husband, had his first moment of perfection with the thoughtfully brewed IPA at Caldera Brewery. “That’s heaven”, he declared after the first sip. I must admit there is almost nothing better then that well deserved culinary explosion you receive after cycling for a day and then imbibing that night. Oh and I probably don’t need to remind you about that night and those sheets again, do I?

As we dozed off we couldn’t wait for tomorrows moment of perfection to occur.

Editor’s Note: Michelle and Klaas are featured in a short film we produced on cycling in Oregon. See the film and learn how they met at here.
