Meet Ask Oregon Ambassador Zach Collier
Just about anything you find on TravelOregon.com can be added to your own personal Trip Planner. Find out how.
Editor’s Note: We recently unveiled Ask Oregon, a program that allows travelers to ask “Oregon Experts” about traveling throughout the state. We’d like to introduce you to our experts and will be featuring them periodically here on the Travel Oregon Blog. To start, we’d like you to meet our Rafting Ambassador, Zach Collier!
What’s your favorite thing about living in Oregon?
Last night I kayaked on the Hood River and saw Mount Hood, Mount Adams, and Blue Heron from the river! This morning I woke up and took my dog for a mountain bike ride at Post Canyon where the trees are changing color. My favorite thing is the easy access to rivers and trails.
What’s your favorite way to enjoy Oregon?
I like seeing the state by raft or kayak. Oregon has more Wild and Scenic Rivers than any other state which invites me to travel around and see them all – and the amazing communities around the state.
What’s the one tip you always give to visitors?
The beer here is awesome, so make sure you visit as many breweries as you can.
Describe your perfect Oregon Vacation…
Driving around the state with mountain bikes and kayaks on the roof to find new trails and rivers. Finding a new amazing brewery each night would be the icing on the cake.
