A Great Night for the Starlight Parade
With no rain and moderate temperatures in the 70’s predicted, tonight promises to be a beautiful night for the Starlight Parade. The Starlight Parade is Portland Rose Festival’s illuminated parade that draws nearly 250,000 spectators to watch sparkling floats, gleaming bands and glowing marching groups wind their way through downtown Portland.
When: 8:30 p.m. Saturday
Where: Downtown Portland
Tips for parade-watching: Arrive early and check out the KeyBank Starlight Run, which starts at 8 p.m; bring chairs and blankets; don’t forget sidewalk chalk and glow-in-the-dark stuff for kids.
