Thanksgiving weekend is one of the best times to go wine tasting in Oregon. Most wineries are open, including many small wineries that aren’t usually open to the public. From holiday markets and live music to turkey nacho bars and special wines, the holiday excitement is in the air!

Wondering where to go? Want to try some place new? Heading down to Southern Oregon or visiting family in Eugene? Stop by these great holiday-inspired wineries around the state and you’ll have even more to be thankful about this season.

Greater Portland

A Blooming Hill Vineyard

For its annual Thanksgiving Open House, A Blooming Hill Vineyard will showcase its lovely wines, case specials and an abundance of hors d’oeuvres on November 25-27, 12-5:30 p.m. Enjoy live music on Friday and Saturday. $10 tasting/six wines.

Seven Bridges Winery

On the day after Thanksgiving, November 25, Seven Bridges Winery is hosting a Black Friday Wine Down from 3-6 p.m. Join winemakers after (or instead of) shopping for wine tasting, small bites and Black Friday specials. It’s a great time to relax and do some holiday wine planning. $15 tasting fee or free for wine club members.

Analemma Wines

Picture yourself savoring a taste of Columbia Gorge traditional-method sparkling wine this weekend as Analemma Wines opens the doors to its production space. In addition to Analemma’s regular flight, the winery will offer a taste of its celebrated Blanc de Noir sparkling wine paired with truffle popcorn or an artisan macaron from Petite Provence. The festivities take place November 26-27, 12-5 p.m.

Southern Oregon

Brandborg Wines

Enjoy appetizers and wine pairings all weekend at Brandborg Wines, November 25-27, 11 a.m. – 5 p.m. Brandborg will release its Tripper Pinot Noir and sell all of its remaining 2016 Elkton-Villages Nouveau they’re gone.

Kriselle Cellars

Celebrate the holidays at Kriselle Cellars with new vintages November 25-27, 11 a.m. – 5:30 p.m. The winery will serve family platters on Friday and wood-fired pizza on Saturday and Sunday. Enjoy live music by Michael Bron on Sunday 1-4 p.m.

Paul O’Brien Winery

Day Wines

Celebrate the spirit of collaboration at the Day Camp Thanksgiving Wine Market, held at Day Wines from November 26-28, 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. All the members of Day Camp will be pouring wines, including Day Wines, Jackalope Wine Cellars, Burner Wines, Fossil & Fawn, Script CellarsGranville Wine Co., R. Maloof and Yamtunk Wine Company, Montebruno Wine Co. and William Marie Wines. Stock up on gifts for the holidays, eat artisanal food and taste fabulous wines. $15 tasting fee.

Grochau Cellars

Grochau Cellars, Vincent Wine Company and Upper Five will all be pouring at Grochau Cellars for its Thanksgiving Open House, November 26-27, 12-5 p.m. Cost is $15 for more than a dozen wines plus food.

Hanson Vineyard

Hanson Vineyard is celebrating Thanksgiving weekend by pouring two new releases November 25-27, 12 p.m. – 5 p.m. The winery will also offer a special 1/2 case holiday deal: buy six bottles of any one wine and get the 15% full case discount.

J. Scott Cellars

For the holiday weekend, J. Scott Cellars will host live music, food trucks and a guest winery, Poco Collina / Gelardi Vineyard. The fun continues November 25-27, 1-9 p.m. Friday and Saturday, 1-5 p.m. Sunday.

Seven of Hearts

A special Thanksgiving weekend tasting at Seven of Hearts will feature 24 wines to celebrate the holidays. Come with family and friends on November 25-27, 11 a.m. – 5 p.m., and build a custom seven wine flight from the winery’s largest open selection yet. The $10 tasting includes samples of charcuterie from The Beautiful Pig and wines paired with Honest Chocolates.
