Lava Lake Access east is an easy 6.2 mile loop. This trail follow road #90 for 0.5 miles then turn left staying on the road through dense forests until you come to Lava Lake. A loop can be made by getting on the Big Springs trail. An easy route, but challenging to the beginner. This trail is marked with yellow blazes.

Directions: From Sweet Home: Travel eat on Hwy. #20 for 44 miles to the junction for Hwy. #22. Turn left and continue 3 miles to the Big Springs Sno-Park on the left.

Seasonal Access: Normally Open: Winter-Winter (Winter activities may be dependent upon snow conditions.)

Facility Type: Cross-country Ski Trail
