The area is signed. Limited parking and dispersed camping is located near the trailhead. The trail may be difficult to follow the first mile from the trailhead and can be hazardous to ford the North Fork John Day River during high flow periods. The Glade Creek Trail is located within the North Fork John Day Wilderness. Closed to all motorized and mechanized equipment, including mountain bikes and carts. Special Regulations in effect.

Directions: From Dale: From Highway 395 near Dale, head east 10 miles on Forest Road #10 towards Olive Lake. Turn Left on Forest Road #1010 and travel approx. 10 miles to the trailhead on the north side of the road.

Seasonal Access: Normally Open: Summer-Fall
