This short 0.5 mile trail provides access to Black Canyon Trail #820 a little earlier and later in the year than the higher elevation #820 trailhead at Dusty Camp. Forest Road #5810 is also more suitable for use by passenger vehicles and trailers than Forest Road #5840 to Dusty Camp Trailhead. Trail is maintained every year to primitive standards.
