Blue Pool Day Use Area is located approximately 9 miles east of Oakridge at an elevation of 1,900 feet. This area has 5 sites with fire rings and tables. Potable water and toilets are available and there is a recycling center.
This Day Use Area is located in an old growth forest alongside Salt Creek. Fishing and swimming are popular activities. There is a large picnic area along the creek with fire stoves (built in the 1930′s by the Civilian Conservation Corps), picnic tables and a large grassy area for playing volleyball. One half mile east of the campground on Hwy. 58 is McCredie Hot Springs. This spot has a history of resorts and spas, but currently is undeveloped without any facilities.
Directions: From Oakridge: Proceed east on Hwy. 58 for 10 miles to Blue Pool Campground.
