The Lookout Rock Trailhead accesses the the Gearhart Mountain Wilderness and its trail system. These trails are open to hikers and horseback riders. Accommodations at the trailhead include a parking area adequate for trailer turnaround, and signed trail directions. Recreation opportunities include fishing, bird watching, wildlife viewing, and wading. The is also a fire lookout within walking distance.
Directions: From Lakeview: Travel west 25 miles on Highway 140, and turn right on Forest Road 3660. Take Forest Road 3660 for 13 miles, then turn right on Forest Road 34. Travel approximately 1/8 mile and turn left on Forest Road 012. Go past Corral Creek Campground and you should see the trailhead sign.
