The Chimney Camp Trail follows an old road route along Wheeler Creek, providing a shaded day hike/ride in a riparian environment. The trail crosses a few small side creeks and has two fords (no bridge) crossing of Wheeler Creek near the northern trailhead on Forest Service Road #1205. Fording is not recommended during the winter.

Directions: From Brookings: Travel south on Highway 101 to County Road 896 (Winchuck Road). Follow 896 east, which becomes Forest Service Road #1107, to road #1108. Go past Ludlum House and take access road to the trailhead (17 miles from Brookings) across Wheeler Creek.

Seasonal Access: Normally Accessible: Spring-Fall

Facility Type: Trail
