This high desert horse camp, at 2900 feet elevation, was built in 1992 with volunteer help. Orchard trees, remnants of an old homestead site are found in the camp area. Horses can be penned in the corrals after a day of riding around Grey Butte.

Stock water only (depending on time of year), NO POTABLE WATER, 18 stalls, tables, fire pits, and vault toilets.

Directions: From : From Madras go south approximately 13 miles on Hwy. 97, then turn east on Norris Lane. From Terrebonne go north approximately 7 miles on Hwy. 97, then turn east on Norris Lane. Go approximately 4 1/2 miles on Norris Lane to Laurel Lane. Follow Laurel Lane for 2 miles, then turn south (right on Road 5750. Follow Road 5750 to Road 5740 to Cyrus Horse Camp.From Prineville, take Highway 26 to Madras. Go approximately 17 miles. Turn left on Laurel Lane at Haystack Reservoir sign. Go about 3 miles, then left on Road 5750. Follow Road 5750 to Road 5740 to Cyrus Horse Camp.
