Badger Lake lies within the Badger Creek Wilderness area. The campground is surrounded by wilderness. It offers four developed campsites and several additional dispersed sites. Trailers are not allowed on the narrow, rough access road (4860-140). High clearance vehicles are recommended.

Fishing is usually quite good as it is stocked several times a year with 5-6 thousand “keeper size” rainbow trout. Brook Trout also inhabit the lake. There are several trails from the lake area that provide a variety of hiking experiences.

Directions: From Tygh Valley: Follow Primary Forest Route 48 west to the forest boundary. Continue on 48 for approximately an additional eight miles to Forest Road 4860. Follow 4860 north for approximately 6-7 miles to Forest Road 4860-140. Follow 4860-140 north until it ends at the campground.

Seasonal Access: Normal Services Available: July-Early September (Campground may be open beyond these dates with limited services available.)

Facility Type: Campground
