Indian Arts Festival & Powwow Friendship Feast
Powwow time is Indian people getting together to join in dancing, singing, visiting, renewing old friendships and making new ones. This is a time to renew thoughts and old ways and to preserve a rich heritage. The Indian Arts Festival and Powwow, held at Eastern Oregon University, is a time to give thanks to friends and family for their help and guidance, as well as to honor graduates and recognize alumni. It has also become a tradition to honor those who have taken part in raising us.
Come and learn more about Indian drumming, dance, food, and traditions.
