Wolf Creek Inn offers opportunities for overnight stays, viewing an historic site, and viewing historic displays.
The rooms are no longer 75 cents, but the refuge is still here preserved in its original state. Take a step back in time and visit. The inn is on the National Register of Historic Places. In front of the tavern you’ll find interpretive panels depicting life on the Applegate Trail. The inn still provides lodging and meals to the weary traveler.
Vital stats: 8-room hotel with dining room. Restaurant hours are flexible, but usually serve lunch from 11 a.m. – 2 p.m. Wednesday through Sunday, dinner 5-7 p.m. Wednesday through Sunday, and are closed Monday and Tuesday. The inn is open year-round.
: Climate in this region varies with elevation and from east to west. The western portions of this region experience higher precipitation and more moderate temperatures year-round. The eastern end of this region is much more arid, with warmer summer temperatures and colder winter temperatures. The higher elevations receive abundant winter snowfall which stays on the ground until early summer in the high mountains.
Location: Wolf Creek Inn State Heritage Site is located in Southern Oregon, off I-5, 20 miles north of Grants Pass (Exit 76).
