Tou Velle offers opportunities for picnicking, boating, fishing, hiking and viewing wildlife.
An ideal spot for family gatherings or group picnics, the site has a large picnic shelter with cooking utilities. There’s a smaller picnic kitchen and three sites with water and electricity. A boat ramp with toilet facilities provides excellent access to the river.
Denman Wildlife Refuge is located next to this park and teems with local and migratory wildlife — a bird viewing paradise. Salmon and steelhead pass through seasonally on treks to and from the ocean. Rainbow trout are stocked by the Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife.
Vital stats: A small fee or an annual parks pass is required for day-use of the park. A fee is charged for the group picnic shelter .
: Climate in this region varies with elevation and from east to west. The western portions of this region experience higher precipitation and more moderate temperatures year-round. The eastern end of this region is much more arid, with warmer summer temperatures and colder winter temperatures. The higher elevations receive abundant winter snowfall which stays on the ground until early summer in the high mountains.
Location: Tou Velle is located in Southern Oregon, off Oregon Highway 62 (off Table Rock Road), 9 miles north of Medford on the Rogue River, at the foot of Table Rock.
