Oceanside Beach offers beach access and opportunities for beachcombing, picnicking, windsurfing, surfing, fishing, bird watching and marine mammal watching.
Located in the center of the community of Oceanside, this park offers some of the best agate hunting during the winter season when the sand is stripped away by ocean currents. During the summer season, the park is a popular place to beachcomb, explore tidepools and surf. The sky above the park is occasionally filled with colorful hang gliders, paragliders and kites.
Vital stats: There is no fee to use this park. The park is open year-round.
: The Oregon coast receives abundant rainfall, mostly between October and April. July and August bring the best chance for clear days. Summer temperatures are normally moderate and almost never hot. Winter temperatures are normally cool at the lower elevations and cold at the higher elevations. Although snow is possible in the lowest elevations, it is infrequent and does not stay on the ground for long.
Location: Oceanside is located on Oregon's North Coast, west of US Highway 101, 11 miles west of Tillamook.
