Gleneden Beach offers beach access and opportunities for beachcombing, hiking, fishing, picnicking and viewing marine wildlife.

A short paved trail descends from the parking and picnic area through the shore pine forest to a soft sand beach flanked by crumbling orange sandstone bluffs. As you hike to the right along the beach, the horizon is dominated by the dark green cape of Cascade Head. In case you decide to venture onward, please don’t disturb the sea lions found at the tip of the four mile Salishan Spit.

: The Oregon coast receives abundant rainfall, mostly between October and April. July and August bring the best chance for clear days. Summer temperatures are normally moderate and almost never hot. Winter temperatures are normally cool at the lower elevations and cold at the higher elevations. Although snow is possible in the lowest elevations, it is infrequent and does not stay on the ground for long.

Location: Gleneden Beach is located on Oregon's Central Coast, off U.S. Highway 101, 7 miles south of Lincoln City.
