Recreational activities on Hyatt Reservoir include boating, camping, fishing, hunting, picnicking, and water sports. Available species include rainbow trout, largemouth bass, and brook trout. Fishing season runs from late April through October. Hyatt Lake is just south of Howard Prairie Lake Recreation Area.
