Helvetia Community Church is located a few miles north of Hillsboro in the foothills of the Tualatin Valley.  Members meet in a beautiful 100-year old building surrounded by farms founded by Oregon pioneers.  The founders of the church were evangelical believers from Germany and Switzerland who gave the community its name.

Pack up a picnic lunch and bring your family to enjoy a celebration of the community’s heritage at their annual Swiss Picnic.  There are church services at 9:00am and 10:30am which all are welcome to attend.  The Swiss Cow Parade begins at 11:45am with the picnic immediately following (12-1:15pm).  Children will enjoy the petting zoo and games (2:00pm) and all will be entertained with Swiss music (1:15-3:00pm).  Drinks are provided and admission is free.
