Victor West: A Photographic History of Coos County is a celebration of local photograph collector Victor C. West. This exhibit at the Coos Historical & Maritime Museum will highlight images from a collection of more than 60,000 historic images. Through his life’s work, Mr. West documented ships and waterfronts in Coos County and throughout the Pacific Northwest from the 1850s through the 1970s. He also documented our local coal mining and logging industries and Coos counties Mosquito Fleet.
Free admission on Friday, March 22nd and Saturday, March 23rd.
Jerry Alvey, they man who’s father built millicoma boats like the one on display will be at the museum on Sat. March 23rd to talk to people about boat building, how the millicoma boat was used, and who used them.
