Halfway Crab Feed
49th Annual Halfway Lions Club Crab Feed:1p.m.-8p.m. At the Halfway Loins Club House. All You Can Eat Crab (“You crack!”), potato salad, baked beans beans, garlic bread and coleslaw. $40 For tickets and more information call: 541 742-4664 Started in 1967 as a fundraiser for local scholarships, a food bank and other civic projects. Always the 2nd Saturday of March, this event now draws nearly 1200 people to this tiny eastern Oregon town of just 350 people. Volunteers prepare nearly a ton of fresh Dungeness Crab, nearly 300 loaves of garlic bread and use more than 350 pounds of potatoes and 60 dozen eggs for the potato salad.
