Left Coast Cellars
Just about anything you find on TravelOregon.com can be added to your own personal Trip Planner. Find out how.
Left Coast Cellars is truly about nature and the respect we hold for the land where our grapevines are planted. We craft exclusively estate-grown Pinot Noir, Pinot Gris, Pinot Blanc and Chardonnay, and are continually developing new single vineyard releases. Our estate — in the heart of the Willamette Valley — is 304 acres; 140 are planted with grape varietals, and the remainder is old growth white oaks and grassy meadows.
We have implemented a variety of progressive environmental programs and utilize numerous sustainable, organic and earth friendly farming practices. Our 17-acre spring fed pond collects rain water for our gravity-fed irrigation. We have completed the Carbon Neutral Challenge with the goal of complete carbon neutrality. Left Coast is one of fifteen Oregon wineries certified as carbon neutral. This leadership group represents the largest greenhouse gas reduction effort in US wine industry history. The ground-mounted solar panels by our Latitude 45 vineyard provide 100 percent of the power for our guest cottage, front gate, and all the estate irrigation needs of our vineyards and extensive landscaping. In our winery, the roof mounted solar installation generates the vast majority of our electricity.
Additionally, we offer a Bottle Recycling Program for our tasting room customers: For every empty Left Coast Cellars bottle that is returned to our tasting room for recycling, we will take $1 off each new bottle purchased. We feel that all of these efforts (and many smaller ones) make us part of the most forward-thinking wineries in the state of Oregon.
