Dry Hollow Vineyards is a family owned winery that provides tasting on the vineyard. Focusing on locally grown-grapes, they feature eight wines, mostly single vineyard designations, that are made from grapes grown in The Dalles, within five miles of the tasting room. The annual production is small (about 650 cases) but their wines are big, voluptuous, and fruit forward.
Tasting Room Hours: Weekends, 12-5 p.m., Feb.-Nov.
Wine Region: Columbia Gorge/Valley

The Columbia Gorge Winegrowers Association advertises a world of wine in 40 miles, and it’s a fitting slogan. The unique geography of the Gorge creates a surprising array of microclimates and soils in a relatively compact corridor.
