Oregon’s oldest iris nursery is run by fifth generation Oregonians.
Begun in the mid-1920′s, C.J. Cooley and Rholin and Pauline Cooley published their first catalog in 1928. At one time the largest producer of iris in the world, Cooley’s now maintains a four acre display garden open to the public along with adjacent production fields. During the last two weeks of May, visitors from around the world come to see `The World’s Finest Irises.` Hundreds of varieties of bearded iris bloom from about May 15 through mid-June.
