Built in 1921, The Hotel is a magnificent villa perched on a scenic cliff. Guests enjoy sweeping views of the majestic Columbia River as well as fine dining and accommodations. The Hotel was a favored retreat for movies stars like Clara Bow, Rudolph Valentino and Shirley Temple, presidents like Roosevelt and Coolidge, and other social and political dignitaries. Today The Hotel provides the same lush ambiance and lavish service that has attracted travels from all over the world. Centrally located 45 minutes from Portland and 45 minutes from Mt. Hood, with 39 guest rooms and over 5,300 sq. ft. of meeting space, we can accommodate meetings up to 225 or small intimate groups for 8. Whether you are planning an executive board retreat or the wedding of your dreams, The Columbia Gorge Hotel is the ideal location.
