Celebrate the 25th Tualatin River Discovery Day by joining the Tualatin Riverkeepers for a paddle trip down the beautiful Tualatin River. This self-guided 3.2 mile paddle includes a guidebook highlighting wildlife and history specific to this section of the river. The trip will launch at Tualatin Community Park and end at Metro’s Wanker’s Corner Field Station. This is a FREE paddle trip designed for first time paddlers, families with children, experienced paddlers – everyone is welcome. Participants can rent a canoe, single or double kayak (including life jackets and paddles) for $30 or may bring their own for no cost. The Riverkeepers will provide a shuttle service back to the launch site for participants.<\/p>\r\n

Come and celebrate the 65th year of Tualatin's city festival.  The Crawfish Festival kicks off on Friday at Tualatin Commons with a Chef’s Mystery Box Cook-Off and an all new “Food Cart Friday.” You can dance and listen to live music. Saturday and Sunday the festivities move to Tualatin Community Park (8515 SW Tualatin Road).  Both Saturday and Sunday offer great family entertainment as well as the new Corks and Keg’s area which will allow guests to taste Oregon Microbrews and Wines.<\/p>\r\n

Admission to Friday's events is free; $4 for adults on Saturday.  Hours: 6-10pm Friday, 10am-10:30pm Saturday, and 10am-6pm Sunday. <\/p>\r\n

Join Tualatin Riverkeepers (TRK) as we paddle near the Tualatin River National Wildlife Refuge to view and hear the returning neotropical migrant birds. Listen for the sounds of black-headed grossbeaks, western wood peewees and common yellowthroats. See the colorful western tanagers and lazuli buntings. Thrill at the belted kingfishers and ospreys diving for fish. Get close to the resident great blue herons and green herons.<\/p>\r\n


We launch at 9am and we recommend that your arrive 30 minutes early. No experience necessary. Make sure you purchase one ticket for each person in your party. Registration is available

While Tualatin Riverkeepers (TRK) paddle trips are open to all members and the general public, space is limited and reservations are required. TRK canoes and kayaks are available by reservation for $50 per boat. Personal flotation devices must be worn on paddle trips. TRK trips may be cancelled due to severe weather (lightning, flooding, ice etc.), but will often take place in the rain. Please dress accordingly.
