Boaters have easy access to the reservoir for fishing and water skiing.

The Burnt River comes to rest behind the Unity Dam before continuing its path down the valley. Relax on the shores or enjoy water sports. There's a boat ramp to accommodate the water skier as well as the angler. A peacefulness will engulf you at Unity Lake State Recreation Area whatever you choose to do.

Two tepees offer unique camping experiences for Unity Lake visitors. The tepees have electricity, carpeting, and foam mattresses inside, and fire rings and picnic tables outside.

The day-use area is a large expanse of lawn and shade trees featuring restrooms, water and picnic tables. You can swim or fish in the designated areas of Unity Reservoir.

Vital stats: Open April - October, weather permitting. The campground provides 35 electrical campsites (21 @ 30 amps, 14 @ 50 amps; maximum site 40 feet; 5 pull-through sites). Considerations: Wood debris is piled in the last 1\/2 mile of the trail. Carry water to avoid contamination by cattle.\n

\nThis steep and strenuous trail provides an especially varied and and scenic route to the heart of the Elkhorn Range climbing through a forested slopein the first two miles, and then skirting the eastern edge of Rock Creek basin. Twolarge meadows interlaced with spruce\/fir bogs fill this basin, providing ample campsite areas. Old poles from the turn of teh century Cal-Pacific powerline still remain in the area.\n

\nViews of the basin and the west Fork Rock Creek drainage are displayed from the upper section of the trail. A smaller, seasonally wet meadow marks the approach to Rock Creek Lake.\n

\nThe lake lays in a talus basin beneath Rock Creek Butte(9105') and Spirit Rock.
