The following includes descriptions of the trails offered in the Chemult Snowmobile Trail System:

Chemult Run Trail #3761 : This trail is an excellent run to the town of Chemult from Diamond Lake. The trail parallels Highway 138 on forest roads for most of its 33 miles (one-way). It consists of gentle terrain with no difficult spots. Its fun to take a run to Diamond Lake for lunch and return to Chemult in the afternoon. The trail travels close to the southern border of the Mount Thielsen Wilderness, but remember, this wilderness area is off-limits to motorized vehicles.

Crescent-Chemult Express Trail #3762 : This 33 mile trail (one-way) provides a wide variety of conditions and scenery. Views of Cowhorn Mountain, Tolo Peak, Cappy Mountain, Walker Mountain, and Diamond Peak are intermingled with runs through ponderosa pine and lodgepole pine timber. Approximately one mile of trail west of Big Marsh Creek goes cross-country through an open lodgepole pine stand.

Park Boundary \/ Lake of the Woods Trail #3768 : For a long and isolated trip, this trail runs 46 miles (one-way) from Annie Creek to the Chemult Run, just north of Highway 138. It offers excellent views of Mount Scott and the Klamath Marsh. The trail travels through a wide variety of elevations and snow depths. At times, the trail may be rerouted because of difficulty grooming portions due to impassable snow drifts. Maje sure you have plenty of gasoline with you on this trip as it is a long walk to civilization!

Miller Lake Trail #3760 : This trail is 12 miles long (one-way) rising from 4,800 feet to an elevation of 5,750 feet before dropping 100 feet in elevation at the Digit Point Campground on Miller Lake. The first six miles of the trail are wide and easy. For the next six miles, the trail narrows with some winding areas and possible deep snow drifts. On the way to Miller Lake, there are excellent views of many of the peaks on the cascade crest. The lake ice is seldom safe for traveling and motorized use is not allowed around the perimeter of the lake.

Deer Creek Loop Trail # 3766 : This is a 15 mile loop which extends into the high country with excellent views into the Little Deschutes River drainage and offers good examples of high elevation forest. Along the trail near Adell Butte, open meadows useable as play areas may be found. Portions of the trail come close to the Mount Thielsen Wilderness boundary. Please observe the nonmotorized restrictions in that area.","post_name":"walt-haring-snopark","post_type":"resource","slug":"recreation","name":"Recreation","lat":"43.2258","lng":"-121.791","distance":"7.5","permalink":"\/see-do\/recreation\/camping-recreation\/snow-sports\/hiking\/walt-haring-snopark\/","terms":"a Snow Sport<\/a>\r\n\t\t\t\t\t\t (within Recreation<\/a>)"},{"ID":"7481","post_title":"Corral Springs Campground","post_content":"Corral Springs Campground offers six tent \/ RV sites at 4,900 feet elevation.
