Where can I go rafting near Portland with a 6 year-old?
For rafting near Portland with a six year old I’d suggest the Deschutes River near Maupin. It’s a great introduction to rafting and flows all summer long!

We are a family of 4, our kids are 13 and 16. One day in Portland and rafting are high priority. We will arrive Aug 3rd. What do you suggest we should do/see?
I disagree. The Upper Clackamas is the best river to run with a youngster, just an hour from Portland, wild, scenic, fun class III+

- Is there a local guide for rafting on the North Umpqua River?
- We’re taking a roadtrip from California to Oregon. I would like to do the Rogue-Umpqua Scenic Byway and stay there for a few days to really enjoy it. I would like to stay around the area for 3-4 days, to do some rafting, and definitely hiking and see all the waterfalls. If we can also visit some wineries along the way that would be great. – Priscilla N.
