There are quite a few municipal pools in Portland. The outdoor ones are only open during the summer.

Some our favorites when we have guests in town: 1. Portland Saturday Market fun shopping for local stuff, music and people watching 2. the Avalon theater and arcade on Belmon – 5 cent games and cheap movies 3. Rent bikes on Portland’s waterfront for an awesome ride through Kerr cycles. 4. Saturday morning farmer’s market on the park blocks – delicious food and free music and cooking demos
