We are looking for a coastal area to bring our RV and boat to do some salmon fishing. We want an easy access to the ocean. – Peggy
Newport or Garibaldi are probably your best bet, of course always check conditions and tides forcast before heading out (and fishing regulations). At Newport check out staying at South Beach and in Garibaldi at Barview County Park. Here are a few links for crossing the bar.

admittedly I’m biased but I’m going to have to disagree with David, Charleston is going to have a fantastic salmon season this year and Charleston Marina RV Park is just a couple hundred yards away from the boat launch or if you want a more scenic view, check out Bastendorff County Park or Sunset Bay State Park, they’re a few miles away from the boat launch with great campgrounds. All of the above mentioned have cooking stations, fish cleaning stations and full hook ups.
