Any suggestions for Oregon Coastal towns? Taking a drive from Seattle to Portland.
If you head west after Portland, I recommend Newport (fishing town) and Yachats (scenic, small, coffee).

If you have the time, driving the entire Oregon Coast is the best way to explore, but since you’ll be in Portland your closest options will be to head west to Seaside or Cannon Beach. Ecola Beach & Haystack Rock are a must!

We live in Sherman Oaks, Ca and will be flying to Seattle on July 21 and leaving July 22 to drive from Seattle to Port Orford to stay at the WindSpring. How much time will it take to drive from Seattle to Port Orford?

I would like to know when is the best time for whale watching, what wouldn’t you miss, and how long a trip should we take to make it worth our while? We like to hike and would love to do some fun things as well as the scenery and tide pools. Where are the best places to camp along the way?
